Scholarships

nNational Scholarship


We enroll Chinese Government Scholarship students designated by Chinese Government Scholarship Council. Applicants for our undergraduate programs should apply for this scholarship at Chinese Embassy/Consulate General/designated agencies in your home country and should apply under Type A. The agency code for Shantou University is 10560. 

Chinese Government Scholarship applications are usually open from November to next April. For details, plese consult the Chinese Embassy in your country or their designated agency, or refer to the webistie of the Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC, http://www.campuschina.org/content/details27_100758.html). Please note, according to CSC’s regulations, undergraduate applicants must register for the Chinese-medium program.

nProvincial Scholarship

Self-funded students can apply for Guangdong Government  International Student Scholarship, which is awarded in two categories: freshman  and continuing students. The award amount for each awardee is RMB 10,000.

Freshmen applicants will be required to provide two  reference letters from the principal and a teacher of the graduated high school, or from two associate professors/ professors of the university you  attended.

More application instructions will be provided when you are enrolled.

nLKSF Scholarship

All students admitted to Shantou University will  be awarded a scholarship for 4-5 years funded by the Li Ka Shing Foundation (LKSF).  The award amount is RMB 7000 or RMB 6000 each student per year for medical and  nursing programs respectively.
